Description
Hedgehog Avenue is the sixth station on the line, and the first one that is located overground. The station lies in the suburbs on a low-density housing area and has a very relaxed feel to it.
A single-lane road leads to the bus stop and parking area. The roadsides are covered in soil mix from Woodland Scenics that blends well with the grass mat. |
An M300 makes a stop here before heading to Windmill Stream |
Platform displays show timetable information to the passengers. Again, some vending machines are available for passengers to use on both platforms. |
A speed limit of 50km/h. |
A Veolia / Transdev urban bus leaving the stop. |
Hedgehog Avenue is the second station on the line to have side platforms. The platforms are partly covered with a support structure and glass ceilings but a little over half of the platform lenght is under open sky, just like in a few real-life stations in Helsinki.
The parking lot |
An M-sign guides passengers towards the station |
A police car parked along with a Mercedes and a Mini Cooper. Finnish HSL ticket machines can be found right next to the main entrance door on the right. |
Hedgehog Avenue is the first overground station and the second overground module I made and its name comes from the real-life surface station "Siilitie", which literally means "Hedgehog Road".

A metro signal |
